Long time no see!

It has been a while since the last post so it is definitely time for an update. We just returned from a 12 day trip to Kansas City for the Holidays. It was a great trip however it was a little long. By then end Josiah's schedule was so messed up and still is 3 days after we have returned.
Josiah is about to start crawling any day now. He saw some of our friends babies crawling and it scared him at first. But I think he is starting to catch on! The main thing that happened with Josiah is he has started saying "Da da da" in reference to Steven. It is cool to hear and I can tell Steven is proud. I have tried getting him to say "ma ma" but all he does is respond with "Da da" and Steven gives me a sly grin. Such is life...

We got to KC on Christmas Eve and had a good evening with my parents. My mom had a knee replacement ten days prior so she was still resting and trying to heal. I don't think it was the ideal Christmas for her but she made the most of it! On Christmas Day we had a nice morning with my family and then went over to Steven's parents house for the Worstell Family get together. It was good to see Dexter again. He is staying there for a while until Josiah get's more mobile and can get out of his way. :-) He is in dog heaven by the way. He's getting spoiled rotten! It was good to see that he is happy and healthy. After an afternoon there we went back to my parents house and had a small family get together with my parents, my sister Kate and her boyfriend Ian, and then C (a Korean International Student) and Bill (a Chinese International Student). It was Bill's first Christmas ever! I had to show him the proper way to open a stocking. Dump it!

The next day we had the HUGE Dickerson get together. Josiah was a little overwhelmed by all the people and activity it seemed. It was also a birthday celebration for my Uncle Gary who turned 60. We threw him a surprise party and celebrated by giving him vintage items from the 1950s. We bought him the movie show boat. We also got to see my Uncle Jack an d his new wife Aunt Mei. They are as happy as ever. My uncle Drake came over too. Later in the week my Aunt Linda and her friend Tina came and we had two get togethers with them. It was a nice visit as well.

The rest of our time was spent seeing friends and helping out with my mom with what we could. I hope everyone else had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
